Benchmark your knowledge for 2022

With the FCA's continued focus on vulnerability, we’ve teamed up with SOLLA to produce an updated version of our popular online training module: Consumer Vulnerability In Later Life.

The free 2022 version includes new sections reflecting current FCA publications, the impact of coronavirus, and challenging misconceptions and vulnerability and delivering good customer experiences. It also offers a new certificate for successful completion and CPD.

In total, the module has been used by over 10,000 financial advisers, paraplanners and other colleagues with numbers rising every day.

Also the FCA's paper on vulnerable customers, Finalised Guidance 21/1, identified the module as an example of good practice that could help people improve their skills and capability.

This free training module is designed for all staff in financial advice firms who work with older and vulnerable clients and their families. It'll help you benchmark your understanding and knowledge of:

  • What constitutes vulnerability
  • How to identify when someone may be vulnerable
  • How to change working practices to ensure firms deliver extra care and support for clients when it is needed.

Take a look at the training module It takes one hour, and if you pass the test, you’ll gain the Certificate in Consumer Vulnerability in Later Life (2022) as evidence of your CPD and training.
